This time we interviewed “Cosmowave Technology Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter called Cosmowave)” who is the leading company of leak testing industry boosting the share of leak test machines in Thailand up to 70%. If you are involved in the automotive industry in Thailand, you should have heard of the company called Cosmowave. Let’s interview them.

We are going to interview two people, Mr. Winai in charge of General Affairs who was involved in the establishment of Cosmowave, which is the Thai subsidiary of Cosmo Instruments Co., Ltd. in Japan (Hereinafter called Cosmo), and Mr. Sopon, Sales and Service Manager who has been providing leak test services for over 10 years. “Leak Test” is one of the necessary tests, especially in the automotive industry. One car consists of more than ten thousands parts and if even a small product defect occurs in parts manufacturing, it might cause an unexpected serious accident.

AIR LEAK TESTER

We check the constitution and functions of air leak testers not to cause a fault in the test results of customers.

Cosmowave was found in 2011 as a joint corporation of Cosmo, and the company who sells Cosmo’s products in Malaysia. We celebrated our 18th anniversary this year. Cosmowave provides services mainly in the ASEAN area, such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand. Currently the most popular products are Air leak testers. Cosmo’s Air leak testers have acquired a 70% share of the leak test machines market in Thailand. Most customers are automotive-related companies, and we have been providing the services continuously to the famous automotive manufacturers, TOYOTA and HONDA as well.

Our policy is to “emphasize on services” as well as products. Rather than simply selling products, our skilled staff with over 10 years of experience will work with the customers and try to come up with the solutions and meet their demands.

I believe that providing both good products and services is a way to win customers’ trust.” “I hear some customers say Cosmo’s products are expensive but if the customers understand that they are paying not only for the products but also consulting and after-sales services, the customers will think the price is pretty fair.”, Mr. Winai said in the end.

Even though the product warranty has expired, unless some replacement parts are required, they provide a check-up for free of charge. “There is no other company who provides the services to cover everything regarding a leak test machines like us.” he said.

Cosmowave will aim on the further improvement of “products” and “services” without resting on the position of No.1 in the market shares.
