The principle of the pressure difference test using The COSMOWAVE machine
This article discusses the principle of the pressure difference test using The COSMOWAVE machine.
The above figure is a comparison of the measurement of a leaking work (right) and a non-leaking work (left). If there is no leakage, the air pressure read by the sensor is in the center. On the contrary, if there is leakage, the sensor is pushed to the leaking side by the air pressure on the master side.
How the COSMOWAVE leak measurement machine works
There are 4 steps of how the machine works.
Step 1 Charge: The moment when the air pressure is released into the work while the test is performed.
Step 2 Balance 1: The process of balancing and stabilizing the air within the work with the master.
Step 3 Balance 2: The process of balancing the air to stop while checking whether there is a leak or not at the same time.
Step 4 Detection is a method after the air release, air balancing, and leak check in which a thorough check for leaks will be performed again.
The graph above is a summary of all the steps of how the machine works. After the air pressure is read, the graph will show the difference between the work side air pressure and the master side, and the information will be displayed as OK or NG.
