The formula for calculating the rate of leakage from the pressure unit to the unit of flow rate (mL/min)

The previous article already discussed the principle of how the leak testing machine from COSMOWAVE works. This article will then address the formula for calculating the rate of leakage.

The formula for calculating the rate of leakage from the pressure

The COSMO machine will interpret the values as delta P (ΔP). The number of delta P will be substituted in the formula and calculated depending on the volume of the work and the time spent in testing, deriving the rate of leakage in milliliters per minute.

The importance of volume in leak testing

The importance of volume in leak testing

The above figure indicates that there are two pieces of work in different sizes namely 100 mL and 1000 mL. The smaller work has a better detection ability than the larger one and takes a shorter time as well.
