Cosmowave Technology (hereafter, Cosmowave), which manufactures and sells air leak testers in Thailand, exhibited at the "MiRA - Subcon EEC 2022" held at the Nong Nooch Pattaya International Convention And Exhibition Center (NICE) from August 24 to 26, 2022. While the company has been participating in many exhibitions held in Bangkok, this was the first time to exhibit in an event in the Chonburi area, which falls under the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). It is expected to be a turning point that will lead to further expansion of the customer base.

We asked Mr Winai, General Manager of the company, about the purpose of their participation in this exhibition and the key products exhibited.

“In recent years, interest in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) has been growing. With a view of further business expansion in Thailand, we have decided to take on the challenge of cultivating customers in the EEC region. Most of the booth visitors at the Bangkok exhibitions are existing customers, but at this exhibition, we were able to make acquaintances with new customers in the eastern region related to such as automobile, electrical equipment, and electronic component manufacturing, and we feel that this gave us an opportunity to expand our customer base. There are many companies related to automobile manufacturing in the eastern region, and interest in EV vehicles has been growing over the past few years, so at this exhibition, we focused on introducing our new product, the ‘LS-R902EV’ air leak tester for EV vehicles," said Mr Winai.

The main products exhibited by Cosmowave at the show were the “LS-R902”, a popular air leak tester model, and the “LS-R902EV”, a new product with technical design and functions dedicated to EV battery leak testing.

Cosmowave's popular air leak tester model. It features an easy-to-understand touch-panel color LCD, icon display, and workpiece temperature compensation function. If the workpiece temperature is not constant, errors in the test results are relatively common, but this correction function compensates for changes in workpiece temperature and improves test stability. Supports 7 languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, Spanish, and Portuguese).

A new Cosmowave product that was unveiled for the first time in Thailand at this exhibition. It features a design for low-pressure large EV battery leak tests that could not have been performed determined with ordinary testers.

・Low to medium pressure specifications (50 kPa to 800 kPa) allow for leak testing of cooling channels.
・Bypass-support significantly reduces pressurization time for large-volume EV batteries, which take a long time to pressurize.

Exhibiting at this event provided an opportunity to approach potential new customers in the eastern region, and deepened their understanding of market demand.

“In the EEC region, there are many companies related to automobiles, electrical equipment, and electronic parts, and these are industries where demand for leak testing is expected to increase. There, not only Japanese companies but also Chinese and other foreign manufacturers are increasingly opening large-scale factories and offices.
