Nihon Denkei (Thailand) handles the products of Carton Optical, one of Japan's leading and long-established optical instrument manufacturer. In this article, we interviewed Mr. Weerawut, a sales engineer at Carton Optical (Siam) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Carton Siam"), a Thai subsidiary of the company, and Mr. Pok, a sales manager of Nihon Denkei (Thailand), to introduce the initiatives of the two companies and recommended microscope-related products.
The only Japanese manufacturer developing and manufacturing stereo microscopes in Thailand
In 2019, Akira Sasaki, who was the president of Carton Siam at the time, began collaborating with Nihon Denkei in response to its proposal to collaborate between the two Thai subsidiaries as they do in Japan.
Carton Optical expanded its production base to Thailand in 1988 and Carton Siam was established as a factory specializing in the development and manufacture of stereo. By having a production factory in Thailand, the company is able to provide products of the same high quality as those in Japan, but at the lowest possible price, boasting a high cost-performance ratio.
