When electricity is flowing and the motor is running, things always shake, don’t they? What sort of effect does the shaking have on the product itself? Or what sort of effect does the shaking have on the product during transportation?
From the point of view of quality assurance, it is necessary to investigate these matters in advance using a "vibration test".
As the Japanese market is shrinking due to population decline and other factors, Japanese manufacturers will continue entering Asian and global markets in the future. If quality assurance and product development would still be done in Japan, there would be delays in response in the countries where we actually want to sell things.
Since there would be a mismatch between supply and demand, various companies are now in the process of starting to conduct product development and product guarantees outside of Japan.
Perhaps it’s the Thai peoples’ nature that is not willing to do so many new things, but even until now, research and development of things has not been thriving.
Many companies have production plants in Thailand. Movements to follow them and establish R & D in Thailand to conduct research and development have already started. From now on, with India and Pakistan in mind, products that are suitable for ASEAN countries should be sent out from Thailand.
In such a situation, it is difficult for some customers to introduce the necessary equipment in a timely fashion due to their budget as the vibration testing machine is very expensive. Thus, the “contract test service” has also become popular here in Thailand. In order to respond to these contract tests, we set up a lab in 2018.
Currently, we have three vibration testing machines. One is a "chamber", a facility that can perform vibration tests while changing the temperature.A whole line up of jigs for mounting customer products is also available.
In the future, we plan to introduce a large-scale device that can perform vibration tests on battery modules and in-vehicle lithium batteries. When selling vibration testing machines, it is not by a catalog but by customizing them according to whatever customer’s requests are. Designing a testing machine from scratch is also possible. How do you like the phrase "one type per one item"?
Although I just recently joined EMIC, I would like to speed up sales support and after-sales support.Compared to Japan, where the market is shrinking, Thailand has very large markets, such as ASEAN, Europe and the United States. It is a very fascinating country where attractive businesses can be realized.
