From the previous article, we got to know about the strengths of Hanshin Neji (Thailand) and its history in Thailand. Hanshin Neji (Thailand) is custom makes special screws by selecting good and suitable raw materials to meet the needs of customers as much as possible. This time, we would like to present a story about some specially made screws through a conversation with Mr. Natthaphon Sirilert, Sales Department from Hanshin Neji (Thailand).
"Hanshin Neji (Thailand) is a Japanese fasteners selling company. We import fasteners from Japan to sell in Thailand, of which most of them cannot be found in Thailand. We sell from the smallest size 1mm for electronic parts to 100mm for bridges and big construction work. We also have a variety of materials such as steel, titanium, various grades of stainless steel, aluminum which are rarely produced in Thailand. In other words, they are not very popular materials because of the small demand, but there is still demand out there. Our strength is even though they are special materials, we still can sell them without a minimum, starting from 1 piece for standard part."
"Our main customers are in the automation machinery industry or in the automobile industry, which requires many custom-made nuts, or the pressing and forming of car parts, with machines that are imported from abroad, from places like Germany or the United States. Customers can't find the nuts that come with the machines, so sometimes customers have to make it by themselves instead. There are 2 cased of lead time for us. In the case of they are standard fasteners, it will not exceed 1 month. In the case of fasteners which is a new drawing for us, it will take roughly around 2 months or more."
"Regarding the procedure of ordering system, the purchasing department will contact us, or we will go to find customers first. But in case of there are many request or unclear specification, we will talk to engineers, and they will tell us what kind of fasteners do they want, what is user application, where it is used, what the tensile strength is, what the tightening strength is, whether they have heat, oil, liquid, chemicals, and so on.
We will consider according to this information advise to customers which one is good for this, Ex. aluminum can be used for all types of work or jobs that require weight loss. Like the latest order, our company sold fasteners to the business who produce cars to explore maps similar to Google Maps cars. Customers chose aluminum fasteners to reduce the weight of the top camera. But the disadvantage of aluminum is that it cannot stand for high tensile.
For titanium, it’s mostly used with medical devices because it can be implanted in the human body without side effects, but the price also be the most expensive as well. Most of the orders are steel and stainless steel because of they have higher demand than other materials.
Hanshin Neji (Thailand) has a certificate of materials, which specifies chemical composition of steel which used as material for fasteners making, to ensure that the customer will get what they really want. We also have an inspection sheet which measures the various values that the customer really wants, including the tensile test documents to make sure that it is how is the tensile-strength for this fasteners, or documents which showing how long that fasteners can stand to the rust.
This is to guarantee to all customers that our products are reliable, highly effective, and meet the needs of customers’ satisfactions in all aspects.
"If customers have problems with using fasteners, we will go there and discuss with the customers within 2 days after being contacted in order to find the cause of the problem and change parts as soon as possible. We will be always ready to support our customers.
Biggest problem that customers meet is the broken of the screws. Most of the cause of this problem will occur with high strength screws with Zinc plated due to during the time they will make it to be zinc plated. They have to use chemical to make Zinc attached to the screw and Hydrogen is the one of the chemical. Then they will remove the remained hydrogen by baking.
If the duration of the baking is not enough or strength of the screws is too high to be able to remove all of hydrogen, it will still remain and make air hole inside of the screw. This will make screw have high possibility to be broken because of Hydrogen embrittlement.
This problem mostly occurs with a socket cap screw with improper strength (12.9). In Thailand, proper high strength steel for Zinc plated screw is not widely produced and distributed because of some reason. But we, Hanshin Neji do have many of Zinc plated screw (10.9) in stock for sale with broken-free due to “Hydrogen embrittlement”.

"Fasteners from the consumer perspective or general acknowledgement, it may be seen as a general part. It can be used for anything, buy anything as long as it works and it must be cheap. But actually, I consider fasteners as a very important part because many accidents such as falling swings in the theme park are caused by the fasteners loosening or breaking. Therefore, when buying a nut, we should also have to choose a reliable source which have standards and performance certificates as well ..."
