Since its founding in 1937, Daifuku Co., Ltd. has been a comprehensive manufacturer of material handling systems that provides logistics systems and equipment to a wide range of businesses and industries. The company provides consulting and engineering services for automated warehouses and other logistics systems, as well as design, manufacturing, installation, and service.
The company's "monozukuri (manufacturing)” approach, which focuses on even a single component, is highly regarded overseas as well, and it has production and sales bases in many regions around the world for optimal local production.
Daifuku (Thailand) was established in 1991 and has since increased its production capacity to become the production base for the entire ASEAN region, including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia, but excluding China and Korea.
The company has delivered more than 170 units of stacker cranes in total, supporting the development of the manufacturing and distribution industries in Thailand.
In addition to its office in Bangkok, the company has two production bases: the Chonburi factory, which mainly handles production, manufacturing, and painting, and the Pinthong factory, which assembles equipment. At the end of 2020, the company increased the number of employees and built a system that can respond to customer needs, such as strengthening design, manufacturing, quality, and shipping management for further production systems and quality improvement.
Furthermore, in recent years, the company has also delivered material handling systems to Myanmar and Vietnam and is focusing on providing environmentally friendly logistics solutions to the entire ASEAN region in collaboration with Japan.
The business consists of two main fields.
Commitment to quality is the same at manufacturing sites in Thailand.
“Since the standards and specifications differ depending on the country of use, we must manufacture products that conform to those standards. We need an environment where we can procure standardized parts in Thailand, even if it is just one screw," says President Hattori of Daifuku (Thailand).
The company has its own product standards based on Japanese standards, and even a single bolt can be standardized.
There are many special parts that are only sold in Japan, and Hanshin Neji is playing a role in procuring such materials.
Behind the manufacture of the world's top-class material handling equipment was a strong relationship of trust between the two companies, which has been built up over 40 years.
