DOBOT is a Chinese robot manufacturer that boasts a high market share by releasing a series of high-performance, safe, easy-to-operate, and affordable robots. The company officially opened its Thailand base in Bangkok in January 2025. The establishment of this base is expected to be an important step in strengthening the company's global expansion and community-based efforts in Southeast Asia.

Case 1: Automated Transport Without Halting the Conveyor Belt
DOBOT CR5 – A Highly Versatile Robotic Arm for Seamless Material Handling
A camera linked to the robot detects the position of the target object (workpiece) and transports it to a designated location. With the detection camera mounted above, the robot accurately picks up objects even while they are in motion, enabling fully automated operation without halting the conveyor belt.

Case 3: Automating Skilled Craftsmanship for Curved Surface Polishing
DOBOT CR5A and VX500 Smart Camera
The CRA series offers the VX500 smart camera (a high-resolution camera with 2.5D spatial correction technology) as an official option.
By equipping the robot with the smart camera, which boasts ±0.26mm spatial correction accuracy, tasks that traditionally require skilled craftsmanship can now be fully automated.
In this case, the robot arm's tip was replaced with a polishing head, enabling the automation of curved surface polishing. Manual polishing requires skilled techniques, and the finish can vary depending on the operator's pressure and speed. By automating the process, pressure and speed remain consistent, resulting in a uniform finish without any processing inconsistencies.

Ideal for sloped picking
The VX500 smart camera can accurately pick objects even in areas with challenging angles that are difficult for 2D cameras to capture. This capability enhances the efficiency of assembly line processes, such as those in automotive factories, streamlining workflows.

Case 4: Adhesive Application on Electronic Components
DOBOT CR3A and pre-collision detection technology "SafeSkin"
Thanks to DOBOT's True Motion algorithm, precise and high-speed positioning is achievable. Automating adhesive and paint application not only reduces work time but also eliminates errors and waste caused by manual handling.
Additionally, by using DOBOT's unique pre-collision detection technology, "SafeSkin" (an optional feature), the robot can automatically stop before making contact with people or objects, ensuring safety in the workspace.

Case 5: Affordable and Space-Saving Vibration Separation and Placement System
DOBOT MG400 and vibration separation device
By combining the desktop collaborative robot MG400 with a vibration separation device, the system automates part sorting and picking. The multi-dimensional vibrations of the separation device efficiently separate the parts, creating an ideal state for image recognition.

DOBOT has overseas locations in Germany, the United States, Japan (with two locations), and Thailand, which is the only Southeast Asian location. The showroom is equipped with demonstration machines, allowing users to experience the robots firsthand. Additionally, training programs on robot usage, aligned with those at the headquarters in China, are available for participants.
Various parts are available at the service office, allowing for quick repairs and other services. Additionally, robot calibration can be performed without the need to ship the robot back to the headquarters.
