Ibuki Industrial Thailand and Enshin Industry [ESI] are partner companies at the same office in Samutprakarn, outer city of Bangkok.
They contribute to manufacturing in Thailand as Win-Win relationship. Ibuki Indutrial import new and used press machines and sell them, and Enshin Industry take care of maintenance and repair.
This time, Mr. Hisaji Yokomaku, the President of Ibuki Industrial, and Mr. Junya Ishigami, the Managing Director of Enshin, spoke out about the history and the future of those 2 companies. *titles will be excluded below
――Could you introduce Enshin Industry at first?
Ishigami: Enshin was established in Thailand in 1996.
Maintenance skills were not mature at that time. We have worked hard to improve techniques of Thai staffs and to develop the industry since established.
With a motto of “our press machines work great today as always!”, we are doing the business of maintenance machines for our clients.
――Please describe rolls of your companies in cooperative work.
Yokomaku: Ibuki mainly import new and used Komatsu’s press machines from Japan and sell them in Thailand. Most of our customers are Japanese companies but Thai companies have gradually been increasing.
Ishigami: Enshin take responsibilities for restore, repair and maintenance of used machines. We also take care of installation of machines at factories, preventive maintenance, relocation and modification of machines.
Yokomaku: They are very helpful because they go to customers for urgent malfunction of machines. We offer one-stop service as a team.
Ishigami: The sales amount is more in used machines, and some of them were purchased in Thailand. Some of used machines even from Japan are terribly damaged so restore and repair are often needed.
Yokomaku: Enshin knows very well about what kind of parts each distributor has so they help us a lot when customers ask us where to purchase parts. lol
――Could you tell us about co-hold private show & maintenance seminar on July 24th and 25th?
Yokomaku: Looking back the last September one as a reference, in the private show, new servo press machines of Komatsu were highlighted. We do not have new products as remarkable pieces this time, however, we will hold how-to-use seminar of malfunction detector of Sugiyama Electric System Inc. that is widely used at pressing phase. We will prepare 10 tons – 200 tons of used press machine products. We hope to have many visitors there.
Ishigami: Enshin have hold a maintenance seminar at the private show since 2017. In Japan, “daily maintenance” which each machine manufacturer suggests is widely done but many companies in Thailand don’t do it. Therefore, even if machines malfunction or beak, it may happens that no one knows the reasons. Furthermore, in Thailand, they don’t have strict laws such as the Industrial Safe and Health Law unlike we have it in Japan, thus I think that “Inspection/Preventive Maintenance” and “Safety” seminars are absolutely important.
Yokomaku: Our customers are mostly Japanese companies but participants of the show were mainly Thai workers who operate machines at their factories. There were about 80 Thai workers, and they seemed to learn enthusiastically.
We have private show through 2 days on July 24th and 25th from 10:00 to 17:00. Seminars, as same as the last year, will be performed mainly in Thai for 4 times in the morning and afternoon for2 days.
――You are going to put manufacturing on your foot with Win-Win relationship in Thailand
Ishigami: Yes, I have been in Thailand only for 2 and half years and not been familiar with many things. However, Mr. Yokomaku knows many people, in addition, he has experience to work at a manufacturer and knowledge about machines deeply so that he helps me a lot.
Yokomaku: I thank to this strong trustful partnership as well. Let’s get manufacturing industry boosted by our team work!
