Material Automation (Thailand) (hereinafter abbreviated as MAT) is an "Total IT solution integrator" with many years of experience and achievements in Thailand. This time, we talked to Mr. Nishimoto, the manager, about the IT solution.
Material automation that provides a wide range of IT solutions in Thailand
Editor:Please tell us about your business.
Mr. Nishimoto :
In a word, we are handyman "anything related to IT".
■Hardware
■Network
■LAN construction
■Cloud construction
Moreover, we mainly deal with,
■Production control system
■Accounting system
■Payroll system
■CAD
■CAM
■IoT
We will help you with everything related to IT, from "support for installation of various system solutions" to "maintenance services" later on.
Editor:How come one company offer so many menus?
Mr. Nishimoto :
We are one of the oldest IT companies founded in Thailand. When it was founded in 1992, it started mainly by importing and selling hardware and Japanese OS. Since then, we have increased and expanded the menus that can be handled in response to customer requests, such as CAD, production control, and accounting systems.
Also, I think it is partly because we were able to build good relationships with various vendors and partners in the 30 years since our founding.
For example, in terms of "maintenance services," we currently have two offices in Thailand (Bangkok, Sriracha). Even so, it is not possible to cover the whole areas of Thailand, so cooperation with partners is important.
Editor:Compared to other IT companies in Thailand, MAT has many bases.
Mr. Nishimoto:
This is also the same as the handling menu, and it has increased in response to customer requests.
Nowadays, most things can be handled remotely, but if you need an urgent visit such as a hardware problem, we can respond quickly. We believe that our customers can rest assured that our support base is nearby.
Editor:Has there been any change in your business due to the Corona pandemic?
Mr. Nishimoto:
First of all, we received many requests from many customers to "safely access internal data from home or outside of the office".
In April of last year, when restaurants and department stores were shut and night out was prohibited, we received a particularly large number of inquiries and requests.
In addition, it is not easy to make a business trip from Japan under the corona virus disease. Therefore, there are talking about wanting to see the Thai system directly from Japan, and requests from major companies that want to promote paperless operations with an eye on after-corona and the future.
Editor:How is paperless associated with Corona catastrophe?
Mr. Nishimoto:
Simply put, "paper documents and materials can only be read by going to the office." If this is digitized, it will be possible to make decisions and give instructions from home or Japan in the unlikely event of a situation.
The same reason is the move to refrain from Japanese seals. Therefore, recently, inquiries about "kintone", which can be used for information sharing in the cloud (AWS) and remote, and workflow (online application work), are increasing.
MAT would become a supporter for not only for Japanese companies in Thailand but also local Thai companies.
Mr. Nishimoto:
We have been active as an "IT supporter" for Japanese manufacturers who have been active in Thailand for many years.
In the future, we would like to propose a system from the customer's point of view more than ever, including local companies in Thailand. In the future, we would like to send meaningful information online to everyone in the manufacturing industry. Thank you in advance.
