As machine tools age, they lose accuracy and deviate from the tolerances in the accuracy specification of the new machine. In such cases, an overhaul is necessary to disassemble the machine, inspect, repair and restore the original performance. The advantages of an overhaul are "lower cost and shorter delivery time compared with purchasing a new machine" and moreover "can continue using a familiar equipment”.

This article introduces Murata (Thailand)'s maintenance system for turning machines and the overhaul package services it offers in Thailand.
