Among the business divisions operated by Murata Machinery, the Material Handling System division has a history of over 60 years. We have installed AS/RS and material handling equipment to over 5,000 companies worldwide. Here in Thailand, we delivered our first logistics system in 1990, and since then we have been helping customers in a wide range of industries, such as automotive, food, and e-commerce, to build their logistics solutions.
In this article, we would like to introduce the strengths and features of AS/RS and L&A solutions provided by Murata (Thailand) (hereinafter referred to as "Muratec").

Muratec's L&A (Logistics & Automation) Division provides logistics solutions, including AS/RS, to Thailand and ASEAN. It offers custom-made proposals to meet customer’s requirements by combining the following systems and equipment.

Our greatest strength is our ability to provide a one-stop solution, from interviewing about issues to equipment/system design, on-site installation, and after service.
In Thailand, demand for AS/RS and AGVs is particularly high. We have handled AS/RS and logistics warehouses for many well-known manufacturers, both Japanese and Thai local, and have maintained close relationships with all of our customers over the years. Logistics solutions are a long-term investment in the "mechanism" itself, and are not completed just with the installation of a system. There are many consultations on modifications and customizations during operation, so it is important to select a manufacturer with whom you can have a long and trustworthy relationship.

There are many factors to consider such as "price," "proposal," and "after service," but many of our customers choose to evaluate us based on our "proposal capability." Our role is to solve customer problems, reach out to their pain points, and work together with them to derive the optimal solution. In that sense, one of our distinguishing features may be that we have various aspects in one business, such as logistics consulting, system integration, and engineering.
Excellent local SEs and service engineers on staff
In Muratec's L&A business, sales representatives and SEs who actually design systems are paired to conduct interviews with customers. Among our local SEs, software / maintenance service engineers, and installation engineers, we have excellent staff who have undergone training in Japan, enabling us to design and build warehouses in Thailand with the same high quality as in Japan. In addition, we are able to communicate in Japanese, Thai, and English, and can make proposals that incorporate the requirements of a wide range of individuals.
The Bang Na office, newly built in 2022, is equipped with AS/RS for actual storage of customer parts and nighttime telephone support (HW and SW). The office is also used as a showroom where customers can see the movement of the equipment and the actual system operation screen, which is difficult to understand on the drawings. We will also conduct lectures on system operation before implementation.
