▲Compact robot controller "CFDs

The robot controller here refers to the control unit used to operate Nachi-Fujikoshi's industrial robots, and CFDs is a new product that is an improved and smaller (s = small) version of our existing robot controller "CFD".


As you can clearly see in one glance at the figure above, the new CFDs are much more compact than a conventional CFD.


Features of the compact robot controller "CFDs


(1) Greater freedom of layout!
Our new CFDs is the world's smallest (as of 2021) compact robot controller. Since it does not take up a large installation space, it increases the degree of freedom in factory layout using robots.
 Volume :12.4 L (62% reduction compared to conventional CFD)
 Installation space:775 cm2 (57% reduction)
 Weight:8.9 kg (48% reduction)

By concentrating the various connection points to the robot and external equipment in the front side, the connection cables become less cumbersome and can be easily placed vertically or horizontally.

(2) Improved usability of the interface
Improvements to the teach pendant (TP) have improved the operating environment of the robot. The following are the main points:

・ 5.7 inch full color screen
・ Easy-to-read screen due to improved touch panel screen resolution
・ Intuitive operation with smartphone-like AI
・ Light touch panel operation with a 4-core CPU
・ Easier grip and hold by renovating and improving the TP’ center of gravity
・ Supports Japanese / English / Chinese / Korean / Taiwanese / German / French / Italian / Spanish languages
・ Easily replace damaged cables by making both ends of the TP cable be connectors
・ Only the TP hook needs to be replaced if it is damaged

(3) High expandability
One of the key points for improved expandability is the ability to control one additional axis for servo hands and one other additional axis, or two additional axes as an option. Another key point is that the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), which is the connection point of the bus and has the role of controlling the equipment, is built in as software. It also supports various fieldbuses such as CC-Link and Ethernet/IP for external connections. It is highly expandable, with hard I/O support from 16 points (built-in 16 points) to a maximum of 32 points (optional).

(4) Standard support for various safety standards
It conforms to the safety standards of various countries including CE (Europe) / UL (Europe) / CSA (Canada) / KCs (Korea). It, of course can be used in Thailand with confidence.
