Vertical articulated robots MZ series is our main industrial robot series. Since its release in 2013, the lineup has been expanded from small to medium size, and it is used as an easy-to-use handling robot for various applications such as attaching/detaching machine tool workpieces, exchanging tools, and transporting between processes. This time, the MZ-F series (MZ07F / MZ07LF / MZ07LF) is now on sale in Thailand. We will introduce the functions and advantages of each of them.
Realizes shortened program takt time and high-precision MZ07F and MZ07LF that can handle severe assembly operations
▲ From left: MZ07F and MZ07LF
The MZ07F and MZ07LF are models that have achieved higher speed and higher precision while maintaining the functions of the lightweight, compact, and hollow wrist structure of the MZ07 series. The "F" at the end of the product name stands for "Fast," while the "L" in MZ07LF stands for "Long Arm" with a slightly wider operating range.
In both cases, the maximum payload is 7 kg, which is often selected by users. While maintaining the world's top-class maximum speed for each axis, the acceleration / deceleration time has been adjusted to shorten the program takt time. The time is expected to be reduced by up to 40% in continuous operation without timer.
Although the precision tends to decrease as the speed increases, the position repetition accuracy (ISO9283 compliant) of MZ07F and MZ07LF has improved to 3/4 and 2/3, respectively, compared to the current models. The trajectory accuracy (ISO9283 compliant) has also been improved to less than half that of the current models. The improved accuracy, which enables the machine to repeat the arc trajectory exactly as taught, has resulted in top-level trajectory accuracy in its class.
Due to the higher speed, the average power consumption has increased, but since one cycle ends earlier, the total power consumption per cycle has decreased. (Decreased in 3 patterns out of 4 patterns)
MZ10LF that meets the growing needs in the electrical and electronic field Realized shortening of the entire cycle
We have not handled the maximum payload of 10kg class so far, but this time we have introduced the MZ10LF, which is the first in this class. It is a robot that can handle large workpieces while following the concept of MZ-F series, high speed and high precision. The maximum reach is 1,202 mm. Although it boasts a wide range of motion, it features a lightweight and slim body for this reach size.
The 10kg payload MZ10LF, which fills the gap between 7 kg and 12 kg, was developed in anticipation of demand in the electrical and electronics field where horizontally articulated robots (SCARA robots) are mainly used. However, the increasing use of EVs and automation in cars has led to an increase in the number of on-vehicle circuit boards and electronic components, and the need to transport heavier and larger components farther. The number of customers who want to reduce human intervention by entrusting complex movements to robots is steadily increasing. If the MZ10LF can be introduced here, the takt time will be shortened, the overall cycle will be shortened, and enable more efficient production.
Internal engineers handle everything from selection to installation of industrial robots as a single project.
We focus not only on sales, but also on before-and-after-sales service. Major parts are stored in Thailand, and we have a system in place to respond immediately to any problems that may arise.
Recently, in order to automate a specific process, there have been increasing requests to entrust the selection and installation of industrial robots as one single project. The reason why these requests are not limited to the mere introduction of robots, but require proposals for facilities and equipment as a whole, is because we have sales engineering staff capable of proposing robot systems, and we have a well-developed technical proposal and support system in place.
