A single machining center integrates all processes from machining to cleaning
In the field of machining, machining centers are widely used. Chips generated during cutting are generally removed manually (air blow) after machining or by using a high-pressure cleaner. However, manual chip removal is time-consuming and can cause chip residue. If chips are not removed at the machining site, defects may occur in the next process, causing quality problems.
Is it possible to realize an efficient method of chip removal that reduces the burden on workers as much as possible, prevents human error, and leads to cost reduction? Taking on this challenge, the "Boost Master" was developed in collaboration with ADVICS, a manufacturer of automotive brake systems. By installing ADVICS' high-performance gear pump in the cleaning liquid injection mechanism, it is possible to increase the pressure of the coolant on the machine side inside the Boost Master and remove chips in the machining center. The entire process from machining to cleaning is integrated in a single machining center.

【Features of "Boost Master"】
・ Coolant from the machine is pressurized by a gear pump in the injection mechanism and injected at a maximum of 15 MPa (continuous) to remove chips
・Capable of removing chips even from the bottom of a φ7 hole with a depth of 100 mm in 0.5 seconds
・By eliminating the number of high-pressure cleaners and utilizing idle equipment, process consolidation and work improvement are realized
・Eliminates the need for an external high-pressure pump, significantly reducing power consumption in the cleaning process
・CO2 emissions are reduced by about 55% compared with using conventional high-pressure cleaners.
Sales target in Southeast Asia: 1,000 units
"Boost Master" has been available in Southeast Asia since the second half of 2022. Our sales efforts in the Southeast Asian market have only just begun, but we are first approaching the local subsidiaries of Japanese automotive parts manufacturers that have already adopted the product in Japan. Currently, we are proposing test-use to interested customers to have them actually use the product and experience its effectiveness. Since the excellent functions of "Boost Master" can certainly be experienced by actually using the product, our policy is to provide a wide range of opportunities to use it first.
For us, "Boost Master" is one of our priority sales expansion products in 2023. With the target of selling 1,000 units in the Southeast Asian market, we will eventually encourage not only Japanese-affiliated companies but also local companies to adopt this product.
