Hydro chuck is a hydraulic-based chucking system for cutting tools, suitable for high-precision machining. We sell numerous tooling such as collet holders and milling chucks, but the hydro chuck is our signature product.

The current lineup consists of seven models. Previously, there was only one model of old type hydro chuck, but in response to customer requests, we have increased the variety at once. This series is the product that we are focusing on the most. Although each of the seven products is used in different situations, they all share the same feature of excellent runout accuracy.

“The tooling currently in use cannot meet the product quality,” or “Having trouble with the damage and lifespan of the cutting tools,” etc. There are various voices from concerned customers. In response to these, we have renewed the hydro chuck, further increased the number of types, and made it a series.

The ability to perform high-precision machining increases the lifespan of cutting tools and improves workpiece quality. As a result, cost reduction is realized, which is the most appreciated point of the "Hydro chuck" series by our customers.

Seven variations for different usage situations

Let us introduce some of typical products from the seven variations.

The first is the standard type "Power hydro chuck" It exhibits a high vibration absorption effect (anti-vibration effect) and a runout accuracy of only 3 μm (4D tip). The repetitive chucking accuracy is 1μm. Although it is a holder for high-precision machining, it realizes operability that anyone can easily use like a collet holder with a single wrench, and is used by many customers.

The "Slim hydro chuck" is a slender design product that is ideal for interference-free machining near walls. It can be used in a narrow space without worrying about workpiece or jig interference, and the runout accuracy is 3μm. The repetitive chucking accuracy is 1μm. This holder is ideal not only for interference-free drilling and reaming, but also for 5-axis finishing end milling.

The "Hydro chuck Omega" is capable of heavy-duty cutting. It is an item that emphasizes gripping force and rigidity among the series, and the blade does not come out even in the precession phenomenon of heavy-duty cutting. Even with end mill side cutting, there is little collapse of the cutting surface and the blade does not bend. The "Hydro chuck Omega" is a highly rigid, high gripping force, high precision holder that has all these features.

The reason why the Hydro chuck series is used all over the world is that there are products designed for different usage situations and provide optimal performance and operability for each.

Aiming for the top in the industry, further enhancing the lineup

We plan to further enhance the variations of the Hydro chuck series in the future. We plan to develop a lineup of hydro chucks that can be used not only as tools for machining centers but also for lathe machining.

In addition, the majority of companies currently using the hydro chuck are automotive parts manufacturers, but from now on we will focus on the "Slim hydro chuck" and actively encourage customers in other industries to use the product as well.
