The head office, Tokyo Energy & Systems Inc. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo), was established in 1947 as “Tokyo Denki Komusho Co., Ltd.” From the post-World War II reconstruction era to today, the company has been involved in energy equipment-related construction work, focusing mainly on the construction and maintenance work of electric power projects for over 70 years, contributing to the development of Japan.
The company's Thai base, Tokyo Enesys (Thailand) Co., Ltd., was established in 2020 to support the remarkable development of Thailand. The company is located in the Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province, about an hour's drive from Bangkok.
The company uses various machining machines made by OKUMA to manufacture equipment for plants and industrial equipment such as large equipment, skid products, and environmental equipment.
We interviewed Mr. Tomohisa Ota (Hereinafter MD Ota), Managing Director of Tokyo Enesys (Thailand) Co., Ltd., about OKUMA 's products.
“The company OKUMA handles various machine tools, including 5-face machining machines, machining centers, and multitasking machines, and we had heard of their reputation of having a long track record of reliability and that their machine tools themselves are of excellent quality and machining accuracy.”
"A major factor in our decision to install OKUMA machine tools at our factory is that the company has a base in Thailand and provides excellent after-sales service. They also have facilities that can educate Thai workers."
We regularly hold NC training at our Bangkok office. And for customers after the delivery of our machine, our machining and operation experts will conduct operation training using the actual machines. Through the training, we will solve any unclear points by carefully explaining the machining, operation, and functions to the customers.
"I am very pleased with the careful instruction on how to operate the machines. Regarding the support system, OKUMA has not only Japanese but also excellent Thai technical staff, and I am satisfied with the arrangement."
Mr. Verapol, the factory manager who attended the training, had this to say about the training.
"In the training, technicians of OKUMA Techno taught us how to operate the machines. Thanks for explaining how to use the machines in an easy-to-understand manner to our Thai staff so that they are now able to use OKUMA 's machine tools perfectly."
OKUMA's machine tools, such as lathes and machining centers, incorporate the unique intelligent technology "Thermo-free concept".
Machines and workpieces are affected by "temperature changes around the machine," "heat generated by the machine," and "heat generated by machining," which can significantly change machining accuracy.
The "Thermo-friendly concept" accurately controls thermal displacement and realizes high-precision machining in a typical factory environment based on the unique concept of "accepting temperature changes".
Controlling thermal displacement has various merits such as improved dimensional accuracy in multi-cavity machining and a reduction on the number of tool corrections.
This "Thermo-free concept" is also applied to the machine tools introduced below.

MD Ota evaluates the usability of our machines as follows.
"The operability is very easy to understand and the machining can be done as requested. Our Thai staff also found it very easy to use. After the implementation of the machine, the work time was greatly shortened and the cost was reduced."
"We will continue to machine various products using OKUMA machine tools. We are confident that OKUMA, with their base in Thailand and excellent engineers, will be able to provide us with technical and machining advice. We look forward to continuing to work with them.”
