Manufacturing Expo 2022 in Bangkok was held for the first time in three years, and PATLITE (Thailand) was fully ready to exhibit. It attracted 58,000 visitors to the entire exhibition and 2,746 people to the PATLITE booth over the four days. Considering that the last time the exhibition was held in 2019, the overall number of exhibition visitors was 90,000 and the number of booth visitors was less than 2,000, it is evident that this year's turnout rate for the booth was higher than the previous show.
In this article, we will introduce the products and solutions exhibited at the booth.
New products "NHV model" and "NE-USB" that are developed based on user requests
The "New Network Control Signal Tower NHV Model" and "Compact Indicator Light NE-USB" made their debut at ME2022. These products, which were developed based on the opinions of customers, such as "We wish there was such a function," were one of the highlights of this year's exhibition.
■ New Network Control Signal Tower NHV Model
The world's first to be equipped with a "Text to Speech (TTS) function" that converts text into voice, allowing for easy voice creation and automatic voice reading by inputting text into commands.
(* As of July 2022, it is available in two languages, English and Japanese)
■ Compact Indicator Light NE-USB
This product was created in response to customer requests for use as an inspection device in factories, a call light in offices, and a cash register status indicator in stores. It has a universal design, multi-colored (7 colors) and gentle hue light, a milky lens globe that blends in with the surrounding, and can be controlled and powered with a single USB cable.
The USB sample code is available on GitHub.

The product has been well received by customers who have seen the actual device and held it in their hands at the exhibition hall. held the actual device in their hands at the exhibition hall.
Collaborative IoT solutions that contribute to productivity improvement
This year, under the theme of " IoT = Improving Factory Productivity through Visualization of Operating Rate", we have a lineup of solutions that can support everything from visualization to data utilization & operation according to demand.
■ Icomsoft - Equipment Operation Monitoring System "i-Brain"
A software that helps visualize the operating status of machines. By recording images of the inside of machines before and after errors and visualizing them, the causes of machine failures can be clarified and improvements can be made. This solution supports the realization of remote management, a demand for which has increased due to the impact of the Corona pandemic.
An information utilization dashboard that converts various data into information. All information such as machine operating status, cycle time, failure record, maintenance schedule, etc. can be managed on one dashboard. With intuitive operability that does not require specialized knowledge, information can be obtained from various devices such as PCs and tablets, regardless of location, making it ideal for data analysis and utilization at production sites.
■ Hitachi Asia - IoT Data Analysis Solution
Software that analyzes information acquired on the production line and analyzes the causes of defects for improvement.
It is effective in improving the defect rate in production. Introduced in Thailand at ME2022 for the first time.
■ IBCON - PLC Linkage Software "B.Light”
A solution that works with PLCs to acquire operating data for up to 20 machines, enabling dashboarding via a Web browser and real-time notification via e-mail or LINE in the event of an error.
Proposal of solutions according to the stage of customer's KAIZEN activities
The impact of the Corona pandemic has led to a rapid growth in demand for IoT applications in the manufacturing industry, such as improving production efficiency through labor savings and remote monitoring of production lines.
In response to such demand, PATLITE (Thailand) has been focusing in recent years not on the sale of individual products, but on the “sale of the system” as solutions that can contribute to solving customers' problems.
There are various phases of "visualization," and the most appropriate tools and solutions differ depending on the issue. MD Kobori believes that being able to make proposals that match the stage of customer's KAIZEN activities is one of PATLITE's strengths and mission.
