Patlite has introduced a number of factory "visualization" solutions to solve various manufacturing site issues such as those described above. This time, we would like to introduce "MotionBoard," a software application that helps improve the production efficiency of the entire factory by making good use (output) of the visualized data.
As explained in the past article on Procedures for making a smart factory , this solution is the software that plays an active role in the process of reflecting the acquired data in kaizen activities.
Steps for converting into smart factory

Even if operational data can be visualized, it is meaningless unless it can be utilized for data utilization and on-site improvement. In addition, many Thai factories may have problems with software kitting and data output (reporting) when implementing IoT to their factories.

In most cases, even within the same factory, each of the processing machines, cameras, scanners, and other tools used differ in terms of manufacturer, specifications, and operating years. In particular, machines made before 2017 are rarely IoT-compatible. With "MotionBoard", even if the specifications of such machines vary, data linkage and synchronization can be performed without problems. Data changes due to changes in production plans are also automatically updated and synchronized for all data with a single update of information. This system is expected to be especially effective in manufacturing plants where profits are greatly affected by machine utilization rates.
In addition, the acquired data can be made into a dashboard and easily output as a report, making it possible for anyone to easily perform aggregation and analysis tasks that tend to be personalized.
The more devices that can be linked, the more complicated kitting is, which sometimes raises concerns from customers. To eliminate such concerns, we provide support for initial kitting and lectures to on-site users when the solution is installed. We also provide advice on the creation of output data, as each factory has different requirements for the information to be extracted and layout in the reports.
