The water-jet cutter (ultra-high-pressure water cutting equipment) injects water at ultra-high pressure from a small-diameter nozzle and cuts various materials such as metal, glass, and stone using a high-speed, high-density thin water stream (water jet) with ultra-high-pressure energy. Since it does not generate heat and does not affect the properties and quality of materials, it is used in various fields.

Sugino's ultra-high-pressure water cutting equipment was created from more than 50 years of accumulated history and expertise in water-jet research. High-precision nozzle control of ±50° has been achieved, and it is also capable of machining complex three-dimensional (3D) shapes. The newly developed ultra-fine abrasive nozzle realizes a minimum cutting allowance of 0.3 mm and significantly improves surface roughness.

Industrial robots (Swing-arm column robots)

This 6-axis robot can be installed in a small space. It features back-and-forth, up-and-down movement of the arm by means of a linear slide and link mechanism. It can also be used for various operations such as conveying workpieces, drilling holes and deburring while grasping materials. It is also possible to freely combine modules such as machining centers, drilling, and workpiece loading/unloading according to the application. "Waterproof types" of washers and machine tools also can be selected that can be incorporated indoors, making it easy to build automated systems.
