TAKAMATSU MACHINERY (THAILAND) CO., LTD. is a Thai corporation of TAKAMAZ Machinery Industry (Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture), which has been in the business for 15 years. It will be selling, at full swing in the Thai market in 2020, XC-100
This product is the successor to the previous mainstay "GSL series". A removable compact loader greatly improves work efficiency. Until now, one worker had to operate one machine, but now a single person can operate two machines.
The wave of automation has arrived earnestly in Thailand. We will contribute to the Thai market with a machine that further enhances work efficiency while reducing manufacturing costs.
The “GSL series” are simple machines that focus on cost performance and specialize in manual machines. It has been sold in the Thai market for about 15 years and has established a sales record of about 650 units in the ASEAN region. Pioneering compact machines, small but high-performance finishes have gained a lot of support from local Thai companies.
This time, positioned as the successor of that series, the “XC series” will be launched in full swing.
Above all, the cost performance of the 6-inch chuck "XC-100" is overwhelming. It occupies only 1.56 square meters of floor space. Finished with an ultra-compact design, yet it still has an opening margin of 450 mm for the front door. We also converged the daily maintenance and checkup at the front, focusing on maintainability and safety.
The biggest change from the GSL series is that the compact loader is removable. As a result, the conventional model, which was the leading model, has been added with a semi-automatic function. In addition, maintenance functions have provided as standard functions, such as "manual handle retrace" for safe program checks in advance, "automatic data backup function" for data loss, and "work / tool counter function".
The background of these improvements is the wave of automation that is reaching the Thai market. There are more sophisticated machines already introduced in Japan, but in Thailand, where labor costs were low, such functionality has not been required. However, due to the recent rise in labor costs and difficulty in securing workers, we have judged that the needs for semi-automation, which is one step before full automation, have increased.
When considering the path to full automation, it is common to implement the installation step by step because of the investment amount, the possibility of its recovery, and the need to improve the skills of workers. We believe that now is the first step in that phase.
Parts from conventional machines are common, and tools and chucks can be diverted. XC-100 is given with as much as possible considerations for the investment burden (price). It will be one of the first steps to full automation. In addition to this new model, we will continue to contribute to the development of the Thai market with our comprehensive service capabilities (parts, repair, installation, and customization).
