Many companies perceive image recognition, measurement, and processing as expensive and challenging to implement. UENO Singapore is breaking this stereotype by offering cost-effective and rapid camera solutions that encompass the essential functionalities needed in standard work environments. Partnering with CCS Singapore—a leader in advanced LED lighting technology specializing in lighting for image processing—these solutions provide notable advantages and features. Let us explore the benefits and unique characteristics of these offerings.
Simple and Quick Setup for Image Inspection, Processing, and Recognition
We began providing camera solutions in 2024 in collaboration with CCS Singapore, a leading company in LED lighting for image processing. CCS operates its own brand of LED lighting fixture production line in its office, managing everything from product selection to manufacturing, sales, and maintenance.
By combining these LED lighting systems with our Smart cameras and peripherals, we enable easy and fast image inspection, processing, and recognition.
The process involves having customers send us samples and specify their requirements, such as "making previously hidden areas visible" or "concealing areas that should remain unseen." Based on these needs, we combine the appropriate lenses and lighting equipment to conduct a test shoot.
▲ Different types of scratches can be detected based on variations in brightness, lighting and observation angles.
Since the smart camera features built-in lighting, simple inspections can be completed in just 5 minutes. With the camera unit, PC, Ethernet cable, 24VDC power supply, and a mounting stand as outlined in the PDF, inspections can typically begin within 30 minutes. Depending on the shooting conditions and the product to be inspected, CCS can provide additional lighting. The ability to quickly respond to customer requests is an advantage of the collaboration between CCS and our company.

Equipped with Only Essential Features, Delivering Significant Cost Savings
One of the key advantages is cost reduction. Ordering cameras, lenses, lighting, and image processing software separately can be expensive. However, by offering a comprehensive solution that integrates all these components, we can lower the total cost to approximately 50% to 60% compared to other manufacturers.
After implementation, it's common for on-site feedback to request additional features, often resulting in extra costs. However, since we include all the essential features from the outset, there are no additional costs later. The solution comes with OCR functionality and supports 1D barcodes, 2D QR codes, and Data Matrix codes. It also features waterproofing and dustproofing for easy maintenance. This makes it an ideal solution for customers looking to take their "first step" into image recognition, measurement, and processing without concerns about extra expenses.
We place great emphasis on post-implementation support. Through our solutions, we aim to help customers become proficient in image processing and accumulate valuable expertise.
Offering Solutions Integrated with Robots
We provide comprehensive solutions, from robots to robotic hands. By integrating with our Yamaha robots, we can transmit the data captured by the camera to the PLC via the robot. The axis control function then determines the angle, allowing the robot to insert or receive objects accordingly.
In this process, we conduct experiments in Singapore, selecting and setting up the appropriate LED lighting, lenses, and cameras tailored to the customer's environment. Once everything is configured, we deliver the solution to the customer for further testing. Adjusting the system on-site helps save time and costs while minimizing hassle for the customer. If additional image measurement or processing features are requested, CCS can provide stock items for an additional cost.

By simply placing the work specification sheet under the camera, the camera recognizes the image, and the robot selects the necessary jigs, automatically placing them on the pallet. We are also considering such demonstrations.
