The linear conveyor module is a next-generation conveyor developed by Yamaha Motor as an alternative to belt conveyors and roller conveyors. A so-called "transportation robot" that can freely control high-speed, high-precision transportation, stop position, etc. It can realize line construction which has not been possible with conventional conveyors.

■Significantly shortens tact time (transportation time)!

The biggest difference from conventional belt conveyors and roller conveyors is the direct drive that moves the slider itself with a linear motor . It can be operated at a maximum speed of 2.5 m/sec, which not only speeds up the physical process, but also improves the efficiency of the entire transfer process and reduces costs.

With conventional conveyors, it was necessary to slow down the product processing process, pull the product out of the line, work on it, and then return it to the line and let it flow. The linear conveyor module can be smoothly slowed down and stopped even from high-speed movement, and since it is directly supported by a high-rigidity guide, various tasks can be performed on the slider. This has made it possible to shorten the tact time by about 50%. * Depending on the conditions.

■Easy to build lines freely

With conventional conveyors, it takes a significant effort and cost to change the transportation line once it is built. On the other hand, the linear conveyor module has the great advantage of flexible line design.

Since the line is constructed simply by combining modularized conveyor units, add modules when you want to lengthen the line, and reduce the number of modules when you want to shorten the line. In addition, since it is driven directly by servo control, there is no need to install a mechanical stopper or sensor for halting. Since the stop position can be set simply by changing the point, it is possible to respond flexibly to frequent setup changes such as changing product types.

In this way, the linear conveyor module realizes a simple line configuration without waste.
