Yamato Scale (Thailand) Exhibition report of PROPAK Vietnam 2019 & Myanmar 2019!

14/11/2019
Ms. Patcharawan Sakda
Sales Engineer

Our company conducted exhibition activities successively in “Propak Vietnam” in Vietnam in August 2019 and “Propak Myanmar” in Myanmar and Thai neighboring countries in September.

Vietnam has a latent need for food measurement, followed by Thailand

In Vietnam we exhibited the “Semiautomatic Table-top Dataweigh TM TSDW-206W” and Auto Checker (I series Checkweigher) through a local agent, and we attracted interest from many visitors. Vietnam hasn’t been automated as much as Thailand, but we guess that Vietnam has latent needs comparable to Thailand.

Propak Vietnam

The TSDW-206W we exhibited was a weighing machine, which had high interest from visitors. It is a semi-automatic multi-head scale of a new model which has both high-speed processing and usability and is suitable for the meat-packing industry. It can be interlocked with all kinds of packaging machines. Though it is semi-automatic, it has a maximum weighing speed of 35 packs/min. It chooses the optimal combination closest to the target weight value (standard weight) and reduces weighing loss occurring by human work by discharging automatically. It is our original weighing machine that other companies don’t have, so the delivery results are gradually increasing in the Vietnamese market.

Myanmar has shown signs of growth. We propose semi-automatic weighing, considering the needs for productivity improvement in the future.

We have had our own booth since last year in Propak Myanmar. The wages are low in Myanmar, so there are still many companies who do the weighing work by human wave tactics. We exhibited the TSDW series and Checker (J series Checkweigher), focusing on “semi-automatic weighing” as a next step of manual operation, considering the growing awareness for productivity improvement in the future. When we are dealing with visitors, with the support of a large scale company who works together in Myanmar, we can understand the real needs of visitors because a Burmese person dealt with them in the Burmese language, though we are a Japanese company.
