Hakusan Kiko, in addition to custom-made production of coolant units and chip conveyors for chip discharge, also offers the Pump Back System for medium to large-scale plants where multiple machine tools are in operation.
The Pump Back System is a centralized processing system that treats chips and coolant (cutting fluids) discharged from multiple machining centers (machine tools) together using a large filtration unit. By collecting chips and cutting fluids from each machine, it enables transport through overhead piping. The cleaned coolant fluid then travels back through the overhead piping to the machining centers.
Hakusan Kiko has obtained a patent for its circulation processing system and has been offering this solution in Japan for over 20 years. As the Hakusan Group, we have achieved approximately 300 installations to date.
【Features of the Pump Back System】
✔ Space-saving and Flexible Equipment Layout
No need to install chip conveyors with filtration units for each machine, making the area around the machining centers more compact and allowing for effective use of space.
✔ Time-saving and Unmanned Operation
Eliminates the need for manual collection of chips from all machining centers, reducing labor and operational time.
✔ Centralized Chip Management
Removes the need for coolant management of each individual machine, achieving greater efficiency through centralized management.
✔ No Pit Construction Required
Avoids the need for pit construction for centralized conveyors or troughs by utilizing piping.
In China, where the need for centralized chip processing is high, a large-scale Pump Back System is currently being installed at the Tianjin plant of leading construction machinery manufacturer Caterpillar. This project involves a centralized system that processes chips and coolant in batches from seven machining centers. The decision to install the system was made for the following reasons
As demonstrated by the implementation case in China, we can also advance large-scale centralized processing systems in Thailand through collaboration across the entire group, including Japan. Given the rising labor costs and prices in Thailand, please consider this option when relocating or establishing a new factory there.
