As the range of inspection (target workpieces) expands, such as with Keyence laser-equipped automatic sorting machines, the next challenge is to prevent scratches and dents. This is the problem of dents and scratches caused by products bumping into each other in the supply and discharge areas of the workpiece. In this article, we will introduce a dent-preventing collection device for the discharge area that solves such problems.
By dropping products into a device soaked with an industrial cleaning agent and conveys them at regular intervals with lead screws of different pitches to collect the workpieces while preventing scratches and scars caused by collisions between the products.
Since the cleaning liquid is a cleaning agent with excellent quick-drying properties, it dries quickly.
The system is designed for workpieces of 60 mm square or smaller in size, and currently transports at a speed of about 60 pieces per minute (3,600 pieces per hour), making it possible to process about 20,000 pieces in a single shift.Low-friction resin is used for the screw and guide plate, creating almost zero friction between the screw and workpiece, preventing scratches and scars.
After screw conveying and scraping up by conveyor at an angle 45 degrees, products are currently packed manually, but automation can also be proposed to meet customer needs.
