Nano Seimitsu is further strengthening its efforts to enhance product quality and is establishing a quality assurance system aimed at the "elimination of product defects." As part of this initiative, the company has launched Wearable inspection service app "WIS (Wearable Inspection Service)" in Thailand as a new supporting solution. This article introduces the features and benefits of using "WIS."
Nano Seimitsu's quality assurance concept strives for the elimination of product defects (ZERO PPM) by ensuring comprehensive quality control across three key stages: from manufacturing to post-delivery. Specifically, the following initiatives are being implemented:
1. IN-PROCESS
During the manufacturing stage, defects are prevented through trend management and enhanced inspections.
2. BEFORE DELIVERY
Before shipment, the quality of all products is thoroughly checked to ensure that no defects are present.
3. AFTER-DELIVERY
Even after delivery, mass production data is used to continuously monitor quality, helping to drive overall quality improvement.
Our flagship product, "LINE QC SPECIALIST," is a solution that supports to "trend management" to eliminate defects in the manufacturing process. The product we are introducing this time, "WIS," plays a key role in enhancing "condition management" during pre-shipment inspections and other processes.
"WIS" is an inspection service app designed to streamline inspection tasks at the worksite. Utilizing smart glasses and USB cameras, it enables hands-free inspection operations. With cloud integration, data recording, management, and sharing are simplified, while centralized management of inspection data via smartphones and web applications is also supported. The app is available in both Japanese and English, making it suitable for implementation at both Japanese and international worksites.
Main Features of the Wearable Inspection Service App “WIS”
✅ Digitization of inspection records
Inspection records, including photos and notes, are saved during tasks, preventing omissions. These records can also serve as proof of inspection.
✅ Hands-free inspection with smart glasses
Inspections can be performed while viewing the screen and using voice commands to prevent omissions, all through the use of smart glasses or a USB camera.
*Smart glasses are optional.
✅ Data storage and management in the cloud
Inspection results are uploaded to the cloud and automatically converted into Excel format, making it easy to display, analyze, and manage the data, which helps reduce the workload.
✅ Creation of inspection and work procedure manuals
Easily digitize inspection and work procedures to create on-site manuals. Inspection items can also be customized to suit specific needs.
■ Main Applications
🔹 Factory inspections (equipment inspection, quality control)
🔹 Construction (inspection of high places, night work e.g. subway and tunnel construction)
🔹 House cleaning (cleaning checks and work records)
🔹 Security services (patrolling inspections, checking for abnormalities)
🔹 Transportation and logistics industry (vehicle inspection, container inspection)
Sales for the Thai market began in January 2025, with implementation currently expanding in Japan, Thailand, and Singapore. Nano Seimitsu offers demo units for both the software and smart glasses, enabling on-site trials at customers' manufacturing facilities.
Nano Seimitsu supports the achievement of 'ZERO PPM' by streamlining inspection tasks for essential manufacturing equipment with "WIS" and enhancing condition management throughout the manufacturing process to prevent defects at a higher level.
