Since the introduction of Unitika's "UNILATE™" at the end of last year, we have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback. Both Japanese-affiliated and Thai local companies have shown great interest in Unilate, making it a key material we continue to focus on. In this article, we would like to highlight the "Flame Retardant Grade" of UNILATE™, for which demand is particularly increasing.
There are three main types of Unilate:
- Standard PC (Insulated)
- Flame Retardant NC (Insulated + Fire Prevention)
- Conductive CV (Static Prevention)
Unilate is known for its high dimensional stability and low warping due to being molded into plates using a unique manufacturing process that makes it resistant to changes in temperature and humidity. In addition to this, the flame-retardant grade introduced in this article further enhances these features.
This material is frequently used in the production of rechargeable batteries, and with the recent surge in demand for these batteries, we have been receiving an increasing number of inquiries. As global demand for electric vehicles (EVs) continues to rise, we anticipate manufacturing in Thailand will become more active. We have the materials, technology, and environment to meet this growing demand.
There may still be many who are unaware that Unilate is readily available in Thailand. Since materials significantly impact manufacturing costs, those currently using alternatives or facing difficulties in sourcing materials may find that switching to Unilate produced by us can lead to a reduction in overall costs.
While we specialize in resin processing, Technoplast also offers expertise in handling a diverse range of materials beyond resin.
<Example of materials that can be processed other than resin>
・Wood
・Carbon
・Urethane
・Insulation Materials: Nikko Pallet (Electrical Insulation Material), Hemisul (Cement-Based Insulation Board)
Just like with resin, the processing results of other materials are also influenced by environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.
Since processing methods and precautions vary depending on the material, the experience and intuition of our technicians are crucial for achieving optimal results

we provide high-precision processed products by using the most suitable processing methods, based on a combination of conditions such as mentioned above.
We maintain regular communication with our engineers in Japan and engage in close technical collaboration between Japan and Thailand to ensure we offer the same level of quality as in Japan.
We can handle minimum orders of just one item and offer support in both Japanese and Thai. Please feel free to contact us.
