Case Study of Resin Cutting | Technoplast Enables Local Procurement of High-Quality Unilate Parts with Short Delivery Times in Thailand.

Resin cutting is highly susceptible to environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, making it challenging to obtain high-precision processed parts in Thailand. In this article, we will introduce the case of Maruyoshi (Thailand), which has successfully procured high-quality processed resin products locally.

Unilate of High-Quality Processing That Can be Procured Locally in Thailand

Since its entry into Thailand in 2015, Maruyoshi (Thailand) has managed everything from the design and development to the manufacturing of various automation equipment. While their machinery includes numerous parts, Maruyoshi places particular trust in Technoplast (Thailand) for the production of resin material components.

Equipment machinery is composed of many parts, and among them, the "chuck," which directly grips the product, often uses Unilate material due to its low warping and high electrical insulation properties. Using Unilate helps minimize scratches on the product when it is touched, which enhances trust among the recipients of the products.

However, it is currently difficult to procure Unilate parts and other resin processed parts domestically in Thailand. The company tried processing several resin parts within Thailand but found that quality and delivery times were inconsistent. As a result, they have been importing Unilate parts via air freight from the company's head office in Japan, which has been a challenge due to the time required for delivery.

Amidst these challenges, the company encountered Technoplast in April 2022. Technoplast, in collaboration with its partner Unitika, provides Unilate in Thailand. Maruyoshi was impressed by Technoplast’s ability to deliver high-quality processing with a short turnaround time. Since then, Maruyoshi has placed orders not only for Unilate but also for other plastic material parts.

Technoplast's Strengths in Resin Cutting

✔ Short delivery time and stable supply
→ The advantage of manufacturing locally in Thailand is the ability to offer a short lead time.
✔ High and stable processing quality
→ Consistent high-quality processing is ensured through meticulous temperature and humidity control in the factory.
✔ Reasonable pricing (excellent cost-performance)
→ Provides high quality at competitive prices.

Additionally, Technoplast offers two color options, black and brown, which allow for effective color differentiation. This color-coding serves as a poka-yoke (error-proofing) measure, making it highly convenient for Maruyoshi (Thailand).
