▲ Contamination in liquid / oil removal unit "JCC-HM2"
The JCC-HM1 is equipped with casters to enable relocation, while the JCC-HM2 is a compact stationary type.
What causes the odor of cutting oil?
1. Bacterial growth
The foul smell of cutting oil is caused by the decomposition of the fluid. The cause of decomposition is the growth of "anaerobic bacteria" that dislike oxygen. In factories where the room temperature is high, it is easy for bacteria to grow inside the tank, and especially in the summer, a strong odor of decomposition is quickly generated.
2. Oil and contaminants in the coolant
The oil and contaminants in the cutting oil (coolant) will increase steadily as the operation continues. The oil that has increased in the cutting fluid gradually rises to the liquid surface, covering the surface of the tank and blocking the air. Then anaerobic bacteria, which do not like oxygen, multiply rapidly in the tank, using the contaminants in the liquid as nutrients, and the liquid begins to decompose.
Further, in factories where the stench is severe, it can cause workers to feel nauseous and sick. The odor attached to work clothes and the body is hard to get rid of even after leaving the factory, and the odor can be transferred to the car, and the odor from your clothes and hair can bother you even after you go home. The smell of cutting fluid and factory stench will follow you everywhere.
How to prevent the odor of cutting oil
In order to prevent the growth of anaerobic bacteria that is caused by the decomposition of cutting oil, there is a means to remove the oil that has become mixed in with the liquid. However, there is a problem that the oil that has not surfaced cannot be collected, or the oil cannot be collected properly after operations.
Injecting air into the fluid can also be effective. By pumping air directly into the coolant tank with an aeration system, the number of anaerobic bacteria can be reduced and the environment in which the fluid tends to decompose can be improved. However, aeration directly into the tank runs the risk of the fluid bubbling up and overflowing, or the pumps sucking in air, causing vibration and failure. So therefore!
We propose a water treatment unit "JCC-HM" that uses microbubbles as a countermeasure against the odor of cutting oil.
First, please watch the video to see how the foul smell is removed!
“JCC-HM2” uses microbubbles to adhere to the contaminants (oil, foreign matters, etc.) in the liquid and then float to the surface, purifying the liquid.
"JCC-HM2", a unit for removing micro contamination and oil in liquid, that can prevent "bad odor" and "oil / foreign matters" simply by connecting to air.
This section introduces the mechanism of foreign matters and oil removal using microbubbles and the features of the JCC-HM2.
