When creating a deburring program for a machining center, have you ever had a complicated program with a horizontal hole in a pipe or a workpiece with a height difference, or did it take an enormous amount of time to set the term and conditions?
Although one thinks “It is finally done!”, the finish is uneven and we often get a consultation asking if something can be done to improve it.
The main feature of the Barriquan is the built-in floating mechanism.
The built-in spring allows the tip to extend and retract by 10 mm while machining, so the movement by a flat program is sufficient. The Barriquan follows the workpiece in the Z direction.
This "trace machining" makes it possible to remove burrs evenly with a simple program, even for workpieces with complex shapes.
However, the Barriquan also has its strengths and weaknesses. Even though it floats, it does not mean it can trace everything for machining.
Workpieces with large individual differences, such as the contours of castings, can be deburred uniformly by absorbing the individual differences.
Although there are no individual differences, it is not suitable for workpieces with severe unevenness, such as gears. (The program can be omitted)
